TISDALE — The Trojans will have a definite local flavour next season. The team has announced the signing of three affiliated players – all hailing from Tisdale – for next season.

Standout performances in the first two games in their playoff series against Flin Flon earned two Battlefords North Stars players SJHL weekly award honors.

WAKAW — Wakaw School will be hosting this year’s CanAm Bowl. The Canadian-rules six-man football game will see an all-star team of graduating high school football players from Saskatchewan and Alberta face off against one from the US.

HUMBOLDT — With an overtime goal, the Estevan Bruins have defeated the Humboldt Broncos 3-2 and won the quarter-finals The Bruins came out strong in the first period and had several chances to score in the first few minutes.

Game 7 of the quarter-finals isn't over yet. Since the game was tied in the second period, neither the Humboldt Broncos nor the Estevan Bruins have scored, forcing the game into overtime.

Within two minutes of the second period of Game 7 of the quarter-final series, the Humboldt Broncos have tied the game against the Estevan Bruins.

The Estevan Bruins lead the Humboldt Broncos 2-0 after the first period in Game 7 of their Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League quarter-final series. The Bruins came out strong, and had several chances to score in the first few minutes.
