It’s a wrap for curling action this season at Twin Rivers Curling Club, as the club finished things on a high note with their 96th Annual Men’s Open bonspiel.

The Wilkie Outlaws have captured yet another senior B provincial hockey title. They did it by defeating Carnduff 3 to 2 at home in the second game of their best-of-three provincial series, following a 6-to-3 win in Carnduff the previous week.

HUMBOLDT — Being head coach of the Humboldt Broncos is no longer an interim role for Scott Barney. He has signed a contract to continue the role for three more seasons.

The family of former Battlefords North Stars player Nick Fountain had an encouraging update to his progress after a serious health scare last year.

The Battlefords AA Barons are tied with Swift Current Abbey Resources Broncos going into the third and decisive game of their provincial finals. The two teams were scheduled to play game three Wednesday in Swift Current.

MELFORT — The Melfort Mustangs have won another semifinal victory on home ice. In the second game of the semifinals against the Estevan Bruins, the Mustangs won 3-1.

The Battlefords North Stars started their SJHL semi-final series with the Yorkton Terriers with their biggest offensive output of the post-season, filling the Yorkton net with six goals.

MELFORT — A slow start turned into a strong finish for the Melfort Mustangs. The Mustangs defeated the Estevan Bruins in Game 1 of the semifinals 6-2.

HUMBOLDT — A team from the Humboldt Curling Club will represent Saskatchewan on the national stage. Team Gaudreau won the Curling Club Men's Provincial held in Melfort from March 22 to 24.
