NIPAWIN 鈥� Two senior badminton teams from Nipawin's LP Miller Comprehensive won medals at the聽2019 Saskatchewan High Schools Athletic Association Provincial Badminton Championships.

Chad Gartner of Innovation Credit Union presented $6,000 to the Wayne Pruden Memorial Golf Tournament Wednesday at the North Battleford Golf and Country Club. The tournament takes place June 3 this year.

鈥淲e are the Champions!鈥� The Battlefords North Stars wrapped up their 2018-19 season with a community send-off barbeque event at the Civic Centre on Wednesday afternoon.

A total of 64 competitors, some of them from the Battlefords and surrounding area, will compete at the 2019 SHSAA Provincial Badminton Championships this Saturday, May 11 at Swift Current Comprehensive.

Athletes from North Battleford Water Doves were among those who earned medals at the Canadian Prairie Champions in Regina. Over 250 athletes were in competition from five provinces across Canada.

The members of the Battlefords North Stars are getting a final sendoff before heading home for the summer. The Civic Centre will be the venue Wednesday for a barbecue and autograph session with the team.
