The mother-daughter team of Sherry and Krista Klemmer taught the art of painting and decorating pysanka, or Ukrainian Easter eggs, in a class on Saturday morning at the Weyburn Public Library. For a part of their class as well, they connected via Zoom with an international support group for the people of Ukraine, who held "Pysanka for Ukraine" on April 1st.

The Regina Symphony Chamber Players put on a free concert on Saturday afternoon at the Weyburn Public Library, on the upper level. There was a full capacity crowd out to hear the music of Mozart, Canadian composer Peter Hatch and Edward Elgar.

The Weyburn Skating Club held their season-end Showcase 2023, an ice carnival at Crescent Point Place, on Tuesday evening. The club had 20 performances through the evening, including large and small groups, solos and duets, and a special skate by graduating skater Hannah Van De Sype, who dedicated one of her performances to her mother.

The 38th annual Vilcu's International Martial Arts Championship was hosted in Weyburn for the first time in three years, with over 200 competitors from 21 clubs taking part. The day-long competition began with a Lion Dance ceremony, performed by the Canadian Hung Keun Association out of Regina, and Sifu Curtis Kautzman did a demo of having concrete bricks broken on his back with a sledgehammer. Competitors of all ages took part with six rings going simultaneously throughout the day.

The Weyburn Lacrosse Association held a second evening for youth to try out the sport of lacrosse, on Wednesday evening at the Credit Union Spark Centre. The evening also served as a preseason meet-and-greet, and a used equipment sale, as families prepared for the upcoming spring season.

The Weyburn Airbourne Athletics 2023 season Showcase and Awards night was held on March 22 in the Cugnet Centre at the Weyburn Comp School.

Assiniboia Curling Club hosted their annual Ladies 鈥淔unspiel鈥� bonspiel on March 18-19.

The Assinboia U18 Rebels win the Hockey Sask provincial championship, after winning two games against Battleford.

Members of the Assiniboia Senior Rebels received 2022-2023 Notekeu League Awards.

The Saskatchewan Soccer Association held their annual meeting in Weyburn over the weekend at the Credit Union Spark Centre, and included a player session and coaching demo, and a demonstration of walking soccer. At the SSA's awards banquet, Jason Roy, president of the Weyburn Soccer Association, was named the volunteer of the year for the province.
