It was a rough outing for John Paul II Crusaders as they lost in Humboldt to the Humboldt Collegiate Mohawks 42-7. Leo Senger got the only touchdown of the game for the Crusaders who drop to 0-2 on the season in nine-man Conference 4.

The Battlefords North Stars broke free of the Weyburn Red Wings in the third period of their first game at the Showcase in Warman. The North Stars prevailed 4-1, with all the goals in the game coming in the third period.

The Battlefords North Stars are off to a good start in 2019/2020. The home team downed the Estevan Bruins 3-1 on Saturday at the North Battleford Civic Centre, improving to 3-0 in the season and a spot atop the Global Ag Risk Solutions Division.

TISDALE 鈥� Growth and development will be key words for the Tisdale Trojans this season. The Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League squad鈥檚 roster is packed with young, skilled players.

HUMBOLDT 鈥� When Humboldt Collegiate first started its football program in 1972, Tom Saretsky knew he wanted in. 鈥淲e played a lot of football in the community with the buddies,鈥� said Saretsky, who was in Grade 11 at the time.

A few years ago the Riders were known as the Cardiac Cowboys for their ability to rally late in games and pull out last minute victories. The 2019 Riders have become such a team.

Yorkton and Melville faced off once again, this time in enemy territory. The rivalry continued Saturday night in Melville at 7:30 pm, where the tone was much darker.
