HUMBOLDT — The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League is on display in Warman early this week. The Humboldt Broncos and the league’s other 11 teams play two games each at the annual SJHL Showcase.

The fourth annual Brian Maunula Memorial Junior Golf Tournament was held Sunday Sept. 22 at the Rustic Nine Golf Course. Sixty junior golfers participated, from four to 14 years old.

The Battlefords North Stars capped off a highly successful two games at the Showcase in Warman with a 10-3 bombing of the Flin Flon Bombers Tuesday. The game was close in the first period with the Bombers actually ahead 3-2 through one period.

CARROT RIVER —The Carrot River Outback Thunder will be looking to measure success in several ways this coming season. The Prairie Junior Hockey League squad seeks to improve upon last winter’s 6-33-1 record.
