The curling season is well under way for the team of Robyn Silvernagle, who were in action this weekend in Calgary. The North Battleford-based Team Silvernagle were playing at the Curler’s Corner Autumn Gold Curling Classic held Oct.

The Battlefords Sharks are now second in the Saskatchewan Female AAA Midget Hockey League after a split of games in Weyburn on the weekend. The Sharks beat Weyburn Richardson Pioneer Gold Wings 3-1 on Oct.

The Battlefords AAA Stars were back in the loss column again after two road losses in Moose Jaw this weekend. The club fell to the Moose Jaw Warriors by scores of 3-1 Oct. 12 and 5-1 on Oct. 13.

CARROT RIVER — Tyler Almen wants to help the Carrot River Outback Thunder succeed. That is why the second-year player from Clavet will play any position he is asked.

It was a throwback to old time, rock ‘em sock ‘em hockey at the Battleford Arena Friday night. The Battlefords North Stars were in action versus the Flin Flon Bombers, a rematch of their epic seven-game playoff series from the previous postseason.

Coming off their provincial championship last year in six-man football, the Hafford Vikings have picked up where they left off and are now 5-0 on the season so far in 2019. Most of last year’s squad is back for more on this year’s team.
