CIBC鈥檚 Banking Centre in Norquay will be closing on June 23, which is about 18 months shy of the branch鈥檚 centennial.

Council remuneration was increased by town council during its regular meeting on January 30. The remuneration is about a three per cent increase, Mayor Nancy Brunt said last week. The mayor is to receive $6,592 a year, and councillors $4,120.

The Derek Kruk rink of Arran won the A event of the 18-team Arran Annual Open Mixed Bonspiel held January 22 to 29. Curling with Kruk, the skip, were: Kirk Lylyk, lead; Joe Makohoniuk, third, and Vaughn Demetrick, second.
