The Battlefords Sharks had a big weekend, taking two at home versus the Weyburn Gold Wings in female midget AAA action. The Sharks took the opening game Saturday by a 6-2 score, building a 3-0 lead on three goals in a row from Kiana McNinch.

The Battlefords AAA Stars were back in the win column as they blanked the Notre Dame Argos on Saturday by 4-0 and 5-0 scores at the Civic Centre. The Stars thoroughly dominated the first game Saturday, firing 44 shots at the Argos net.

The Saskatchewan Prairie Hockey League was back in action for three games on Thursday through Saturday this weekend.

It was a tough schedule of three games in three nights for the Battlefords North Stars, but they still came away on the plus side of the win ledger after a 2-1 win over the Weyburn Red Wings on the road Friday.

Add the Canada Cup in Leduc to the bad news for fans of Robyn Silvernagle and her team.

The 2019-20 version of the Battlefords North Stars have yet to have a losing streak this season exceeding one game.

TISDALE — Keagon Little made a big return from injury last weekend for the Tisdale Trojans. The 16-year-old forward from Wymark scored in each of the Trojans’ midget AAA contests. He had been out of action since Oct.

HUMBOLDT — Last week was packed with news for the Humboldt Broncos. On the ice, the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League team earned a point in each of its three games. With a 15-9-3-2 record, the Broncos had 35 standings points.
