CARROT RIVER — The Carrot River Outback Thunder are looking to start a new winning streak. Last Friday night the Junior B team dropped the Â鶹ÊÓƵern Rebels, 7-1, on the road to extend its winning streak to six games.

I thought I had witnessed every way possible for the Riders to lose a game over 42 years of covering the team. I have seen hundreds of losses but none where a pass on the last play of the game hit the crossbar.

MUENSTER — LeRoy School’s senior girls’ volleyball team are this year’s provincial silver place medalists. At this year’s 1A provincials, held at Muenster School on Nov.

It was a light weekend in the Saskatchewan Prairie Hockey League with two contests Nov. 16, and both of them were blowouts. In Battleford, the Beaver Blues demolished the Maymont Settlers 10 to 1.

It was a tough weekend for the Battlefords Stars in midget AAA hockey action, as they dropped two games to the Tisdale Trojans at the Civic Centre. Battlefords dropped the first game Saturday to the Trojans by a 3-2 score.
