HUMBOLDT 鈥� December is a month of opportunities for the Humboldt Broncos. The team is looking for a strong finish to the 2019 portion of their Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League season.

Through thick and thin, fans of Robyn Silvernagle and her team continue to cheer her on during this curling season. Dubbed the 鈥淪ilverSquad,鈥� fans have been showing up at curling events featuring Silvernagle and supporting the team.

First losing streak of the season

TISDALE 鈥� The Tisdale Trojans are hitting the road. The Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League team plays its next four games on the road. In fact, 10 of the Trojans鈥� next 11 contests, stretching into 2020, are away from the Tisdale RECplex.

HUMBOLDT 鈥� Humboldt鈥檚 hometown rink held its own at the Canadian Curling Club Championships last week. Skip Aaron Gaudreau, vice-skip Jason Schlachter, second Tom Johnson, and lead Joel McDonald went 3-3 in pool play in Leduc, Alta.

For the first time this season, the North Stars ended up as overtime losers after dropping a 3-2 decision to Notre Dame Hounds.

HUMBOLDT 鈥� With some wheeling and dealing the last few weeks, the Humboldt Broncos have a new look. Various trades have brought new faces to town. The biggest deals drew a familiar player back to the Broncos.

CARROT RIVER 鈥� The Carrot River Outback Thunder have looked to Tanner Dutcawich to produce points this season, but he has also proven to be an effective recruiter.

The Battlefords North Stars have just swung a couple of deals over the weekend in an effort to boost their already-loaded lineup of players.
