About twice as many wildlife trophies were measured at Kamsack last week than were measured last year.

Members of the Hiawatha chapter of the Eastern Star at Kamsack held their installation of officers for the 2017 term. The installing officer for the ceremony held December 7 was Nancy Leson of Canora, the outgoing Worthy Matron.

鈥淟earn a fact; be a lifesaver鈥� is a tag line promoted by a new student-led group at the Kamsack Comprehensive Institute called GLOW, which stands for 鈥済ay, lesbian or whoever.

Kamsack district residents have helped a Saskatchewan sock drive surpass its goal by almost 50 per cent and donated 240 of the 15,000 pairs of socks collected for those who are less fortunate.
