Gateway Co-op held its annual information meeting for the year ending January 31, 2017, on April 18 at the Rainbow Hall in Canora. Financials Sales were $30,687,184, down about $54,000 from last year, according to the financial report.

MWO Keenan Rehaluk (master warrant officer) has retired after 23 plus years of 鈥渓oyal and dedicated service鈥� to the Canadian Armed Forces. Born and raised in Canora, Rehalukenrolled in the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) in October 1993.

The Canora Minor Hockey Association celebrated the end of the 2016-2017 season at their awards banquet on April 13.

CIBC Canora held its third annual Easter colouring contest. CIBC delivered the pictures to Canora daycares, nursery school, pre-Kindergarten and Canora Junior Elementary School, said Elly Carlson, CIBC Canora customer service representative.

The Canora air cadets participated in an air skills day April 8, when they built model rockets for the morning and set them off to the heavens in the afternoon, said Darren Paul, Canora air cadets鈥� commanding officer.

Community Insurance Inc. has been in business since 1988, and is known for having one of the most appealing business exteriors in Canora, according to the Canora Economic Development Commission (CEDC).

Spring is here, which means it鈥檚 time to get primed for the upcoming Canora Supers baseball season.

Canora鈥檚 CN Station House Museum and Visitor Centre has become one of the focal points of the community, said Community Development Officer Brandi Zavislak.
