The skies over Weyburn were filled with dancing shimmering displays of the Northern Lights late Tuesday night. This is a gallery of photos taken from north of Weyburn.

A Festival in the Park was held in Fillmore by resident LaVaughn Duxbury, in the park she developed on three lots she owns on McCullough Street over the past 18 years. The event featured live entertainment, vendors and food, along with giving area residents the chance to relax and enjoy the park.

The Weyburn Volleyball Club ran a three-day camp, for youth in Grades 5-7, junior high in Grades 8 and 9, and senior high in Grades 10-12. Each of the age levels had their own times in the Weyburn Comp Eagle gym each of the three days, covering the basic skills and techniques for playing volleyball.

A number of Weyburn area families came out on Saturday to have fun trying out archery, building birdhouses, learning about wildlife and fishing, at a family fun day hosted by the Weyburn Wildlife Federation at their clubhouse. There was also a barbecue, and displays about identifying animal tracks and looking over a collection of pelts of animals that live in Saskatchewan.

The Weyburn Comp's Mental Health Capacity Building summer art program had its final activity with a paint night on Wednesday, at the Collabartive Studio. The students painted a sunset scene on the water, with instructor Krystal Glowatski.

Nickle Lake Regional Park held its annual "Halloween in the Park" on Saturday, with site judging, prizes for costumes, and treats by campsites for trick-or-treating in the evening. The day wrapped up with a "Transylvania Hotel" movie in the evening.

Dancers from De Tricky Feet dance studio provided entertainment at the tent in Weyburn's Heritage Village on Friday afternoon, showing what they had learned that day at dance camp. The finale was to bring up a parent to dance with.

Residents of Weyburn and area took in the many sights and sounds of Heritage VIllage Days, held Friday and Saturday. The activities ranged from rope-making, butter-making and ice cream making to visiting the homes of the Heritage Village and taking in live entertainment under the big tent, or enjoying a barbecued hot dog or hamburger.

Nickle Lake Day was celebrated on Saturday, with the Nickle Lake market, free pancakes, a car show, crafts and a magic show for the children, and live music in the evening.
