Weyburn Comprehensive students were able to check out the options for their future career or schooling at the annual career fair, held on Wednesday at the Cugnet Centre, with around 65 booths set up. Weyburn families have fun carving pumpkins at the library

The Weyburn Public Library saw around 50 people from 15 families come and take part in their pumpkin carving event on Thursday evening. The Wholesale Club donated the pumpkins, and the library provided the tools and patterns for the families to use, with prizes provided to all the participants.

Weyburn Tourism held their inaugural Pumpkin Lane on Saturday evening on the Tatagwa Parkway paths near the off-leash dog park, just south of First Avenue. A number of businesses and organizations set up tents along the path loop, which was lined by lit carved pumpkins. Lots of treats were available along the way for those young and old in their Halloween costumes.

School groups perform live at Weyburn Communithon fundraiser

This photo gallery shows a few examples of the school groups that came in to entertain, live and in person, at the Weyburn Legion Hall on Friday for the 41st annual Weyburn Communithon. These photos show groups from Legacy Park, Assiniboia Park and St. Michael Schools, with all grades from those schools performing, and many parents and family jamming the Legion Hall to watch them perform.

Inclusion Weyburn held their first Halloween Dance since 2019, and ghosts, goblins and superheroes of all ages were out to have fun and dance at Dominic Place on Wednesday evening. DJ Randy Bakaluk provided the tunes and the lights, and a concession was available to keep the dancers fed and watered through the evening.

Legacy Park class choirs prepare for Communithon performances

The class choirs from Legacy Park Elementary School each performed two songs at a school assembly on Friday afternoon, as they prepare to sing at the Weyburn Communithon fundraiser on Friday, Oct. 28, at the Weyburn Legion Hall. With live performances back for Communithon, each class from Legacy Park will be performing, with the two oldest grades using recorders, drums and boom-whackers in their performances, all led by music teacher Holly Butz.
