A Special Grad section was published in the June 14th Weyburn Review.

The University of Regina's EYES (Educating Youth in Engineering and Science) program visited classes at Legacy Park Elementary School on Tuesday. The teams of U of R students had fun science-based games and activities that were age-appropriate for the different grades.

Weyburn artist Tana Cugnet paid a visit to the Grade 2 class at Assiniboia Park Elementary School on Wednesday to talk about her art. The class had done their impressions of one of her paintings, and she came in to talk about that painting and her process for creating art. She also gave each student a print of one of her art works.

Gallery: This photo gallery shows four players from the Weyburn Beavers enjoying a relay activity with a Grade 2 class at Legacy Park Elementary, which involved battles of "rock-paper-scissors" to get through the race. The class was divided into four groups, with one player on each team.

The skies over Weyburn were again lit up with brilliant flashes of lightning as a thunderstorm rolled through the area late on Thursday evening. This gallery of photos shows some of the lightning as the storm approached from the south-southwest.

The Pre-Kindergarten class and their Grade 9 buddies from St. Michael School in Weyburn enjoyed the warm sun at Weyburn's Young Fellows spray park on Wednesday morning. The buddies had fun in the water as they spent time together at the Don Mitchell Tot Lot.

Four players from the Weyburn Beavers ball club spent the morning at Legacy Park Elementary School, and this gallery of photos shows their time with a Grade 6 class, including meeting the provincial Scholastic Challenge winner, Farhan Mir, and asking for his autograph. The class studied Flight, and launched their own helicopters from the upper balcony to see how well they could fly.

The skies over the Weyburn area were lit up with an almost continuous flashing of lightning and rumbling of thunder late Saturday evening. This gallery features a series of photos taken as the storm advanced on Weyburn from the southwest, and dropped around 8-9mm of rain on the city and area, with some reports of pea-sized hail for a brief time.

This photo gallery shows a variety of busy activities at St. Michael School recently, ranging from a visit by "Leroy Brown", a corn snake, to classrooms, and a Grade 6 community service project where students raised money for different charities in the city.

Players and coaches were recognized during the awards night for the Assiniboia Minor Hockey Association.
