There are weekends that call us to the beach, to the garden, or as in the case of this past weekend, to hunker down. Even as I wrote this article, Storm No. 3 was rolling in, the third in just a few days.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders hammered the Toronto Argonauts 29-11 in a lopsided game. The Riders had control of the game from start to finish. Riders quarterback Darian Durant attempted 22 passes while completing 15 for 164 yards and two touchdowns.

General municipal elections are the best because they bring out the purest form of campaigning with basic platforms and no-nonsense candidates. We say this in light of the upcoming civic and municipal elections in our city and throughout our region.
