It can be a surprising how little we know about our own local history. Sure, we know many of the basic facts, such as when the community was incorporated, or how old the arena is, or how many names are on the cenotaph.

Moving differently in the zone

I’ve attended a lot of meetings with politicians at the front of the room since I moved to Estevan in late 2008, but in all that time, I have never seen a small-c conservative politician roasted as I did on Sept. 4.

Where have the last four years gone? While some will tell you that it feels like an eternity since Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the Liberals were elected in October 2015, the reality is that the past four years have gone by very quickly.

The season existing between summer and winter known as fall – or autumn, if you prefer – officially happens on September 21. But fall is a transitional season starting in Canada at least three weeks earlier than its supposed to.
