Beavers trade wins with the Yorkton Cardinals

The Estevan Big Dogs continue to seek their first win after a pair of losses at home on the weekend. The Big Dogs were defeated 15-8 on Saturday by the Prince Albert Predators and 18-10 on Sunday by the Saskatoon Smash.

The SJHL held its annual meetings this weekend in Nipawin and one of the items on the agenda was the awarding of the league's showcase for 2011-12.

Estevan sprint racer Kyle Fedyk won his first career feature May 22 at Nodak Speedway in Minot, and the victory had special meaning for the 24-year-old.

The third annual Weyburn Elementary Mini-Marathon will host 224 runners next week who will "run it for the fun of it." The marathon will begin on June 4 with registration at 8 a.m. at Assiniboia Park Elementary School. The race begins at 9 a.m.
