Boys from the Grade 12 Phys. Ed class practice some basic techniques of fencing, during a special class in the sport put on for the Grades 11 and 12 classes on June 7 at the Weyburn Comprehensive.

Several practitioners of tae kwon do and karate competed at the first annual Pan Am Martian Arts Games in Balgonie on the weekend. The participants included three from the Estevan Tae Kwon Do Club and several others from the Vilcu's Karate Klub.

There was no question of the top drivers at Estevan Motor Speedway last Wednesday.

Plan for 2011-12 season

Sunday's Dennis Neelin Memorial Race has been cancelled due to poor track conditions. There are no plans to reschedule the race. The next event on the drag racing schedule is for July 24.

With SJHL cards being issued last Tuesday, the Estevan Bruins have been getting down to business.

The Community of Rouleau is hosting the Hockey and Hearts Celebrity Golf Tournament on June 22.

Batter up! Carlyle Minor Ball Days was held at Lions Park in Carlyle over the past weekend. Warm weather and lots of ball teams contributed to yet another successful weekend of ball.

The under-10 Mini Red Devil girls' soccer team traveled to Swift Current to take part in the 麻豆视频west Soccerfest Tournament on the weekend of May 27 to 29, bringing home gold. In round robin play the girls had some great success.

The Estevan TS&M Tornados played at the Eugene Emberley Memorial Tournament in Weyburn on the weekend and saw the fruits of their labour over the first month of the season.
