聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 The Carlyle detachment of the RCMP responded to a variety of calls between Thursday, Sept. 7, and Thursday, Sept. 14.
911 calls
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 There was a misuse of 911 in which an individual wanted to speak with police. The caller was reminded that 911 is for emergencies only and the detachment can be contacted by calling (306) 453-6707.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 A call came from a business, but it was a technical issue with the line.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 There was a misdial in the Redvers area.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 An individual called from a cell phone requesting someone be picked up who needed a ride. RCMP followed up, but were unable to contact the caller for more information.
Animal call
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Cattle were out near Kisbey and when they鈥檙e near roadways聽 are a collision concern for the public driving.
Assault
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 There was an assault in Arcola which was reported for information purposes, but no charges were placed.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 In Carlyle a young offender was arrested and lodged in cells for the night in regards to an assault.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 On social media a young offender bragged about throwing rocks at another youth.
Break and enter
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 RCMP are investigating two break and enters in Wawota at businesses.
Assistance
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Members of the RCMP were asked to attend a business in Arcola where an employee and employer were having a disagreement. An employee had lost their job, but thought they should be allowed to drive a company truck home.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 RCMP responded to Mental Health calls.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Carlyle RCMP are assisting Fillmore RCMP in regards to a photo taken by a youth of another youth without clothes. This is a criminal offence and under the law is regarded as child pornography 鈥 print, publish, or make; so, when one youth takes a photo and sends it to another youth it is classified as such.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淥nce something is up on the internet, it鈥檚 there,鈥 Staff Sargent Darren Simons stated. 鈥淭here鈥檚 things like Snapchat as well, that the photo 鈥榙isappears,鈥 but people can take a screenshot of what you send and it doesn鈥檛 just disappear.鈥
False alarms
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 There were two false alarms: one in Carlyle and one in Arcola.
Fire
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 A truck fire was reported in the Redvers area.
Firearms
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Shots were reportedly fired in the Carlyle area. Investigation did not result in anything suspicious being found.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 A weapon was fired in the Kisbey area causing property damage.
Harassing communications
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 An individual requested RCMP investigate harassing communications. No charges were laid, but the recipient of the calls simply wanted the caller to stop.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 An individual reported someone making comments about them on social media. RCMP are investigating.
Liquor charges
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 An intoxicated male refused to leave a business in Carlyle and RCMP responded.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 An individual was found drinking in a vehicle and was fined $360.
Mischief
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 In Manor youth are causing trouble by ringing doorbells and running away. A complainant called regarding this matter and also reported someone throwing a pop bottle at their house. RCMP are looking into the matter, but ask that individuals speak with their children about this behaviour.
Driving infractions
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 An individual was stopped and found to be driving without insurance. They were fined $180.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The speeding high for the week was $188.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Three separate reports of erratic drivers in the detachment area were reported. In all three cases the subject of the complaint were semis. RCMP attempted to locate these vehicles or contacted the company to report the drivers.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 An individual was fined $150 for driving without a licence.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Inspection notices for window tint were issued.
Theft
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 There was a theft reported at a Carlyle business, which is under investigation.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 A wallet was reported stolen in the Carlyle area.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Someone was reported for renting equipment and not returning it; this dispute is a civil matter.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 A vehicle was reportedly stolen from the area, but it was discovered a family member simply borrowed it.
Danger to public peace
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 A young offender was reported for having a weapon and being a danger to public peace. RCMP believe the individual had a knife.
