Carlyle Skating Carnival

On March 24 at 2 p.m. people flocked to the Carlyle Sports Arena where the skating club was holding their annual carnival. This year the theme was, "Let's go to the movies," and was greeted with much enthusiasm from the crowd.

Town of Carlyle's Strategic Plan set for the next four years

Carlyle town council met on Wednesday, March 20 to discuss a number of agenda items. Carlyle and District Leisure Complex Minutes and the Skating Club executive members will be put onto the town's insurance policy.

RCMP Report

The RCMP were involved with 52 files between March 15 and March 21. On March 15 a 21-year-old female was arrested for being drunk in public. She was held in cells until sober and released with a fine of $200 being given to her.

Arcola Optimists hold banquet and cheque presentation

The Arcola Optimist group held a banquet on March 20 where they welcomed not only members of the club, but also representatives of groups who had helped make the 20th Annual Snowmobile Rally such a great success.
