Seeding is underway for most producers in the province. Eleven per cent of the 2017 crop is now seeded, according to Saskatchewan Agriculture in its Crop Report for the week of May 2-8.

Giselle鈥檚 ShowTyme Dance Studio, owned and operated by Giselle Wilson, celebrates its 10th anniversary in business.

The Assiniboia and District Museum celebrated Canada 150 with a Pioneer Supper on May 12. The museum chose a pioneer theme and recreated this bygone era with food, entertainment, decorations and the volunteer organizers wearing period clothing.

Assiniboia will be playing host to a major international event in June. The Canadian Convention of the Country Gospel Music Association takes place in Assiniboia on Tuesday to Sunday, June 20-25.
