As tense as it was Thursday, there was even more on the line Friday at the Meridian Canadian Open in North Battleford.

It was certainly an exciting game for the viewers of SaskTel Max to see. The TV cameras were at Battleford Arena as the Battlefords Sharks took on the first place Saskatoon Stars on Thursday night in female midget AAA hockey action.

Thursday was the day the pressure ramped up at the Meridian Canadian Open in North Battleford.

The Robyn Silvernagle team continued their winning ways at the Meridian Canadian Open on Thursday. Their 8 a.m. matchup with the Nina Roth rink from the USA couldn’t have been any closer.

The second day of the Meridian Canadian Open got underway in North Battleford with the women’s teams in action for the first time. They took to the Civic Centre ice for four games in the 8 a.m. draw and three more at 11:30 a.m.
