Key Club members changing lives

The Kiwanis Educates Youth (KEY) Club at John Paul II is a community service based club that is sponsored by the local Kiwanis club. The group works closely with the Kiwanis club, and have established close relationships with the members.

January lull hits

Theresa Kennedy was to Saskatoon for a checkup on her hip. Everything is healing nicely. Her son Scott drove her there. Lil McMillan was to Edmonton for an eye appointment. Things are better than last time, but she has to return in six weeks time.

Old Man Winter rumbles awake

The temperature Monday morning was -27 C. That is quite a change from last week. Forecaster say the cold weather will be with us for a few more days. Along with the frigid temperatures is a strong, cold wind making it feel much colder.

Archives Week 2012 in North Battleford will be marked with two events at local malls. Displays will be in place Wednesday, Feb. 8 at the Frontier Mall from noon to 5 p.m. and Thursday, Feb. 9 at the Coop Mall from noon to 6 p.m.
