MELFORT — Traffic data from Broadway Avenue Â鶹ÊÓƵ between Matilda Street and Melfort Street shows the majority of drivers speed when going through the stretch of road. The speed on the street is 30 kilometres per hour between 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

LANIGAN — A building at the Lanigan sports grounds was spray-painted with graffiti. Humboldt-Lanigan RCMP said the crime took place between July 12 at 2 p.m. and July 13 at 11:30 a.m.

With drought conditions present in most of Saskatchewan’s farmland, farmers' groups and the official opposition are calling for help from the government.

HUMBOLDT — A Humboldt home was broken into. Once inside, those responsible stole some cash. Humboldt RCMP said the crime took place at a residence on the 1200 block of 13 Street between 10:30 p.m. on July 12 and 6 a.m. on July 13.

HUMBOLDT — A local restaurant is offering help to beat the extreme heat. A&W Humboldt will provide cold bottled water and allow people to sit in their air conditioned dining room as long as the temperatures remain extreme.

There will be a walk-in vaccine clinics in Humboldt, Tisdale and Melfort tomorrow. The Humboldt clinic will be on Wednesday, July 14 at the Uniplex's Jubilee Hall from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The vaccines being used are Pfizer and Moderna.

CARROT RIVER — The Carrot River school fundraising committee has raised $1.165 million for amenities for the new facility including a second gymnasium, weight room and applied arts shop.

NIPAWIN — Nipawin’s facilities, including the pool and Evergreen Centre, are moving back to full capacity post-restrictions although cleaning protocols are planned to remain very similar.

Sagehill Community Futures has announced a new loan program designed to help small businesses as they adjust to the post-pandemic world. The Booster Loan Program provides up to $25,000 to small businesses for operating expenses.

HUMBOLDT — A number of buildings along Humboldt’s Main Street, as well as an elementary school, have been vandalized. Humboldt RCMP said the crimes took place during the evening hours of July 8.
