Mrs. Rose Minke of Aspen Bluffs Villa in Yorkton passed away on December 2, 2011. She was 87 years of age. Rose was born in October 4, 1924 near Springside, SK to parents Gustav and Elsie Mantay.

Myles Andrew Kuzyk was born on May 16, 1940, in Arcola, SK, the son of Andrew and Annie Kuzyk. He died on December 7, 2011, at Good Spirit Lake, SK, at the age of 71 years.

Arrest made in armed robberies

An arrest has been made and charges have been laid in connection to two armed robberies held in the city this winter.
