OUTLOOK — Motorists driving north on McKenzie Street in Outlook have been noticing some impressive progress being made on a future facility.
Work has been steadily ongoing at the site of the new fire hall in Outlook for the last few weeks, with the structural foundation already up and work beginning on the walls of the facility this week.
More than $1.2 million has been raised for the project, with more donations to come in as people are now starting to see the new hall come to life before their eyes. Although the original building costs of roughly $1.4 million have now increased to just over $1.6 million due to the ongoing US-to-Canada tariffs that are now in play, the new numbers aren't worrying anyone associated with the campaign and they haven't deterred the renewed spirit in the community as Outlook starts to see its vision come to life for local firefighters and emergency personnel.
The new fire hall is expected to open later this fall.
