OUTLOOK - The Outlook Riverhawks senior men's baseball team felt like they had something to prove when they took to the mound for their home opener against the visiting Eston Ramblers on Friday, June 6.

The team had already suffered a loss on the road, with the Elrose Aces defeating the Riverhawks on May 29 at a score of 8-3, so with this game being Outlook's home opener, the squad hoped to improve and rebound with a win.

The Ramblers didn't make it easy, coming off their own record of one win so far against Elrose at a strong score of 25-17 and one loss against Riverhurst at a score of 11-3.

Playing a back-and-forth affair on Diamond 3 at the Jim Kook Rec Plex, the game between the Riverhawks and the Ramblers showed spectators that this was really either team's game to win, with the numbers matching on the scoreboard before one roster would find a way to dig further and notch another point up.

In the end though, it would be the hometown Outlook squad that would take the win, defeating Eston at a score of 5-4, putting the Riverhawks at one win and one loss so far in the 2025 season of the Coteau Hills Baseball League.

Next up for Outlook is a game on the road in Elrose on Tuesday, June 10 to take on the U18 Wartime Marlins before the Riverhawks return home on June 16 to host the Riverhurst Raiders and then on June 19 to host the squad from Dinsmore. Games start at 6:30 on Diamond 3 at the Jim Kook Rec Plex grounds.
