If there has ever been any doubt that the marketplace for agriculture products can change overnight it has certainly been reaffirmed over the last week or 10 days.

Toilet paper is an interesting industry. Basically, toilet paper is something that is well known. Each individual person uses roughly the same amount each year, so demand can be easily tracked.

Consider what鈥檚 going on all through Canada 鈥� and North America: Conservatives are finding themselves uniting under big tents while those on the left are most squabbling and setting up their own tiny encampments.

It鈥檚 safe to say that the times have officially been changed in North America, across Canada, and right here at home in Saskatchewan.

There are times when an editor truly struggles to find not just the idea for an editorial, but then the right words that will add something of merit to the conversation on the topic chosen. This week the topic was obvious.

Admittedly, I鈥檓 under-educated on the Coronavirus. I can鈥檛 figure what all the hysteria is about nor do I understand why hand sanitizer is selling for $85 a bottle on Amazon nor do I get why toilet paper is in high demand.

Maureen and I went to the Hazel Dell Valentine鈥檚 Dance this year. The name Hazel Dell itself seems to present a sense of coziness and friendship. The two kilometre drive off Hwy 49 simply re-enforces that very feeling.
