Who doesn't love a Party? Members of the Goldens Jets gathered to celebrate birthdays for January, February, March and April at the Golden Jets Centre on February 24.

The Preeceville Trinity United Church celebrated Shrove Tuesday on February 28 with a pancake supper. The men of the church prepared, cooked and served the pancake supper that featured pancakes, sausages, ham, refreshments and jellied desserts.

About $4,300 was collected by Sturgis Kinsmen and members of the Sturgis Composite High School student council at their mini-Marathon on March 2 held at Canora and on the highway from Canora to Sturgis.

At a recent parents and tots session in Canora, Kelly Strelioff, a public health nurse, talked about influenza, colds and ear infections.
