A Norquay rink won the A event of the Canora Men鈥檚 Bonspiel played March 8 to 12 among 16 rinks. Ken Newell of Norquay curled with Zach Newell, third; Evan Rostoski, second, and Kevin Ebert, lead, won the A event.

This year the Canora Skating Club鈥檚 achievement day was themed 鈥淗appy Birthday Canada,鈥� and was dedicated to Canada鈥檚 150 birthday, according to Shyla Yannoulis, club president.

Canora and Kamsack residents are being invited to a symposium being held in Canora next week to explore ways to create a healthy, active community and develop realistic local strategies to get more youths and their families more active more often.

Members of the River Ridge Fish and Game League who did well hunting, fishing and taking wildlife photographs during the past year were recognized at the association鈥檚 28 th annual awards banquet on March 4.

On March 4 about 60 people took part in the World Day of Prayer Service held at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church in Rama. The 2017 Service was prepared by the women of The Philippines.
