The U13 Parkland Predators, made up of players from Preeceville, Canora, Norquay, Kamsack, Churchbridge and Langenburg, opened their drive for a provincial championship an 11-5 win over Wynyard in Kamsack on Feb. 7.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed National offensive lineman Philippe Gagnon. The 32-year-old Gagnon comes to the Roughriders with eight seasons of CFL experience, all but one of them with Montreal.

UCHS Warriors will host three curling events this year, including provincial mixed curling.

After agreeing to a contract during the Canadian Football League’s free agent negotiation window the Saskatchewan Roughriders have officially signed American quarterback Tommy Stevens.

The event attracted 67 athletes from around the province, combining for a total of 118 entries.

Miners and Hawks are out of running for provincial titles, Outlaws will go up against the Eston Ramblers in 2nd round.

Elecs not only secured first place in their division but also achieved the highest scholastic score in the entire competition.

In addition to the host Cobras, teams from Kamsack, Norquay and Wadena took part in the tournament, which no doubt featured a number of future hockey stars.

The Terriers hit the ice again Valentine’s Day as they are scheduled to play in Estevan, with the Bruins back at the Westland Insurance Arena Saturday, Feb. 15.
