National Communities in Bloom judges "impressed" with Weyburn
The national judges of the Communities in Bloom (CiB) competition visited Weyburn on July 29, touring several parks, yards and City facilities. "Overall, I was impressed with the whole city," said CiB judge Margaret Bateman Elison.

Minimum wage to hold steady in Sask
The Government of Saskatchewan announced that it is holding the province's minimum wage steady at $9.25 until the Minimum Wage Board completes its next minimum wage review. The minimum wage has increased 16.3 percent since January 1, 2008.

Body found in burnt barn
Carlyle RCMP are not releasing the name of the dead person that was located after a fire was extinguished, recently. On July 28 at approximately 8:19 p.m. the Carlyle RCMP responded to a complaint of a barn fire just outside of the town of Redvers.
