WEYBURN – The City of Weyburn is asking residents and businesses to reduce non-essential water use starting June 13, as scheduled maintenance at the Water Treatment Plan temporarily reduces reservoir capacity.
The upgrades, part of ongoing improvements to the city’s water infrastructure, will support regulatory monitoring by the Water Security Agency and help maintain safe, high quality drinking water for the community.
With the work expected to last at least two weeks – coinciding with peak summer demand – officials emphasize that public cooperation is key to ensuring water needs are met.
As part of ongoing upgrades at our Water Treatment Plant, the City of Weyburn will be performing scheduled maintenance that requires temporarily reducing reservoir capacity.
How you can help: Delay activities like filling swimming pools or washing vehicles; Limit use of lawn sprinklers and outdoor water features; and avoid unnecessary indoor and outdoor water use.
Officials will provide updates as the project progresses and thank residents for their efforts to help manage water supply during this critical maintenance period.
