Let the decorating begin

The things I would like to see. I would like to see them not play football at Penn State. I was surprised that they played last Saturday in the wake of all the atrocities that came to light regarding their football program's leadership foibles.

The problem of just who purchases and uses service vehicles and other capital items and how they are paid for and maintained is a topic that needs to be addressed soon by civic, regional and provincial administrations.

Joe Paterno is very much in the wrong. If the details aired in public from the Penn State child rape scandal are accurate, Paterno has a lot of blood on his hands.

When the first snow of the season fell on Sunday, the kids joyfully jumped into their ski pants and boots and headed outside. They were so happy to play in the snow, they shovelled both the driveway and the deck, without prompting.

With the beginning of November, I was reminded of an annual month-long event that will soon be evident upon the faces of men all over the world - Movember.

Maybe it's because I never grew up in a Canada in which the polar bear is a national symbol, but when I think Canada, I don't think of polar bears, or vice versa. One senator doesn't like that beavers are our national symbol.
