I’ve taken up bus riding these past weeks and frankly the less I have to drive now, the better. I know that I may tire of it but to date I find it relaxing to let someone else bring me to the walking track or to town.

As we enter the gift giving season, we inevitably come up to the challenge of raising responsible little humans amidst a barrage of advertising, purchasing, and giving of and receiving material goods.

Cheers: Cheers to those residents and business owners who head out to shovel and salt their sidewalks and parking lots. It is appreciated by people who are walking.

The mass shooting in Las Vegas was terrible and now the one that has happened in Texas is also tragic. The Onion News, being a satirical media outlet, published an article with an interesting title in response to the Vegas shooting.

To the Editor: I feel compelled to write regarding the condition of our hospital. There are holes in the walls and hallways with damaged plaster and paint throughout the building.

For many people, November 11 is a day to sleep in, to be off school or work, while there are many who will still have to go to work to serve their customers as usual, and there is no time off.

The editor: At the Estevan Regional Airport, there is a monument that has been created by Darren Jones. He is the same artist and carver who created the Estevan Soldiers’ Tree monument. This newest monument is called Forever in the Clouds.
