We all know that the carbon tax the federal Liberal government wants to ramrod down our throats is not in the best interests of Saskatchewan. For the longest time, this province was the lone wolf in the fight against the carbon tax.

As I prepare for a new adventure one of the things that I wanted to do was buy some decent paper and write letters to friends and family. I went into one of the big stores and I couldn鈥檛 find what I was looking for.

Grade 10-12 Final Exams The Grade 10-12 classes will be writing final exams soon. On Friday, June 22 in the morning are Social 20 and ELA B30. In the afternoon is Apprenticeship Math 30.

There are nearly 10,000 adults living in Estevan. They have a variety of opinions on different issues, yet they鈥檒l agree on one thing: they don鈥檛 want higher taxes. They didn鈥檛 get their wish once again this year.

We are blessed to live in an area of our town that is rich in neighbourly friendliness.

I did something this week that I haven鈥檛 done since I arrived in Estevan nearly 18 years ago. I booked a doctor鈥檚 appointment. Admittedly, I鈥檝e lived a pretty charmed existence when it comes to health.

Cheers to the City of Estevan for slowly replacing the bad sidewalks. It鈥檚 going to take a long time, but at least the work has started. Cheers to the Estevan Humane Society for adding the agility course test to the dog jog on the weekend.
