The American burying beetle just one of the factors in case opposing Keystone XL

The editor: Just when I think Justin Trudeau-inspired policies can鈥檛 get any worse, I learn that the Liberals are sticking their noses into the bank accounts of Canadian citizens.

This month our country commemorates the 100th anniversary of the end of World War One. I wasn鈥檛 around for that but around the world, millions of people who hoped and longed for a war-free world, celebrated.

Thanks to some nice people who bought and built a car for me, I got to drive in this year鈥檚 Enduro race at the Estevan Motor Speedway.

Say what you will about the Canadian electoral system, at least it鈥檚 better than the American system. Or maybe it鈥檚 not the American system that鈥檚 the issue. Maybe it鈥檚 the people who are involved with it who create the problems.

Remembrance Day should be regarded as one of the most important days of the year in Canada, and not because it has been designated as a statutory holiday.

Bells will ring out across Canada at sunset on Sunday, Nov. 11, in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War, as any church with bells is being asked to ring them 100 times as we pause and remember.
