I have to apologize in advance 鈥� this column isn鈥檛 for everyone, and to confess, yes, I鈥檓 one of them 鈥� or one of you 鈥� One way or another but for the last two years, I鈥檝e been passionately waiting for the last season of the best series in TV history

A little more than a week ago, the organizers of the Regina Rally Against the Carbon Tax were looking forward to having an event that would attract a lot of people and send a message.

April 4 was going to be a big day. So big, I took our 14-year-old daughter, Katrina, out of class to help me cover it. Why? As I told several people, 鈥淣ot all education occurs in the classroom.鈥� Not one person disagreed with me.

Usually it was Sarah who serenaded us but I recall when her big sister, Elizabeth, regaled us with odd and sundry versions of My Grandfather鈥檚 Clock.

It鈥檚 been two months since the SNC-Lavalin affair went public through an article in the Globe & Mail. At the time, you had to wonder how long the story would be in the forefront for the public. After all, political scandals usually have a shelf life.

Cheers to those people seen walking in the park along First Street and picking up trash as they walk. One person had a huge big bag full of trash. Cheers to the Estevan Comprehensive School鈥檚 drama club for the outstanding performance of 937.

It was the Friday after the Good Friday/Easter Sunday long weekend. Lots of people were still out of town for the final days of spring break, so I wasn鈥檛 expecting much activity.

Letter to the Editor: Today, hundreds of Saskatchewan citizens are gathering in Regina to do something they likely have never done before in their lives 鈥� attend a rally.

The federal carbon tax took effect on Monday, and will be applied to four provinces, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and New Brunswick.
