There has been a lot of discussion by Weyburn residents in the last couple of years about the speed limit in school zones that has been put into place all over the city, and whether it鈥檚 too much or too strict.

The money that the federal government supplied to Estevan through the Canada Coal Transition Incentive (CCTI) is a nice start, but a lot more money will be needed for this community.

On June 27, what has become a familiar refrain rang across the interwebs. Another group is asking the courts to shut down a Canadian pipeline. This one was very different, however.

Here in Canada, our next federal election is scheduled to take place this fall; on or before Oct. 21, to be exact. In the U.S., elections will be held, in some states, on Nov. 5.

For as long as I can remember, Canada Day has meant a lot to me. I was always the kid expressing my love for my country. For whatever reason, it dawned on me at an early age how fortunate I was to live in this country.
