I couldn鈥檛 think of a better group of people to be with on the first day free of public health measures, or as most of us called them, restrictions.

To the Editor: Having recently read the article concerning the settlement reached with Wade Oberg, the former principal of the Weyburn Comprehensive School, I am left with several questions.

Loss comes in many forms, a relationship loss, a job loss, or a loss through death. Anytime we lose something or someone, it is usually followed by grief.

Quite some time ago, during week 11 of lockdown, I asked you to join me in a sing-a-long. With the passing of many months since then, I thought it might be a good time to join in song once again.

We can now go out and celebrate in Saskatchewan 鈥� that is, if we still remember how. After 16 months of COVID-19 restrictions, we may have forgotten how to party.

At the beginning of July, Alida increased its population by two 鈥� the community wishes to welcome Neil and Brenda Roberts (from B.C.) to our area. Welcome folks 鈥� I do hope you will enjoy our little town.

Born to Justin and Amy Lamontagne, twin sons on June 25. They have been named Everett Michael Ryan (weighing four pounds and nine ounces) and Beau Robert Bruce (five pounds, six ounces).

Late June and early July brought us different things weather-wise. We had heat, a couple of good showers, and of course, our typical Saskatchewan wind. This sure helped to make our courtyard more beautiful and the gardens grow.

I鈥檓 not sure if July 4 celebrations were different this year for our U.S. neighbours, but here in Canada our recognition of July 1, Canada Day, certainly was. In fact, it could be said that anything but enthusiasm marked the day for a lot of people.

At Encompass Fitness, we often encourage our members to 鈥渃hoose their hard.鈥� When it comes to summer, staying fit and active can be a challenge, but so can taking a break for the summer. Especially when fall rolls around.
