A local man was remanded in custody after charges alleging he stole a vehicle and evaded police while impaired. The Crown prosecutor was not agreeable to the release of Estevan resident Evan Garrow, during provincial court proceedings on June 23.

Weyburn residents no longer have to worry about boiling their water. As of Wednesday Mayor Debra Button announced that the Ministry of the Environment had lifted the boil water advisory for Weyburn.
