Weekly RCMP Report

The RCMP received 45 calls between March 8 and March 14. On March 8 a complainant called in concerning a possible impaired driver. They provided a description of the vehicle and patrols were made, but RCMP were unable to locate the vehicle.

A complaint was filed regarding harassing phone calls. The complainant had received a couple of calls throughout the night and RCMP believes they have a suspect. The matter remains under investigation currently.

A call of a collision south of Carlyle on Highway 9 was received. There were no injuries and no charges were laid.

An alarm at a residence in Redvers was responded to. RCMP cleared the house making sure no one was in need of assistance. The alarm was determined to be false.

A 41-year-old was fined $137 for speeding on Highway 13.

A complaint was received involving someone uttering threats to harm another person. This matter is still under investigation.

A 47-year-old male was fined $135 for speeding on Highway 13.

Also caught on Highway 13 for speeding was a 23-year-old male who was charged $135.

A 32-year-old male was charged $432 for speeding. He was travelling 153 kilometres per hour in a 100 kilometre per hour zone. This could have actually meant criminal charges, but the officer took in all of the circumstances surrounding the matter and chose to use the provincial fine.

An abandoned vehicle was reported as being left in Kisbey. It looked like the vehicle would be towed.

A call of a private residence being spray painted in Carlyle was received and this matter is under investigation.

An erratic driver on Highway 13 was reported near Carlyle. RCMP made patrols, but the suspect vehicle was not located.

On March 9 there was a single vehicle rollover collision south of Carlyle. No one was injured. This is suspected to be the result of poor road conditions. No charges were laid.

On March 10 an erratic driver on Highway 13 was reported as travelling through Carlyle. The caller was able to get a licence plate number and the vehicle was identified. Charges are pending.

A collision involving a single vehicle and two occupants occurred on Highway 13. The vehicle left the highway and rolled. Both occupants suffered minor injuries. No charges were laid.

A 22-year-old female was fined $138 for speeding.

Property in Carlyle was spray painted and this is believed to be related to earlier files, which are being investigated.

A two vehicle collision occurred on Main Street in Carlyle. Minor damages were reported and no one was injured. One driver was charged with unsafe backing and fined $125.

Somebody called in to report dogs being found at Kenosee Lake including a pup. The callers simply wanted to notify RCMP that the dogs were taken to the Humane Society.

On March 11 RCMP were called to investigate the report of a theft in Arcola. Suspects had been going around to vehicles and rummaging through them stealing items. The RCMP examined the scene and developed interest in possible subjects. Two hours later two youth were in custody. The youth were held in custody until Wednesday, March 13 for court and released by a judge on conditions. They will be back to court to face charges.

A call of a single vehicle rollover on Grid 603 south of Wawota was received. The lone occupant was taken to hospital to be examined for injuries. The matter is still under investigation.

Another call of property being spray painted was reported. This time a vehicle that had been parked behind a business was spray painted. It is believed to be related to the previous spray painting offences occurring around town and is under investigation.

On March 12 a 24-year-old male was charged with failing to comply with release conditions and will be facing charges in court.

Members responded to a collision on Highway 9 north of Carlyle. There were minor damages and no one was injured.

A 19-year-old female was charged with throwing an item from a moving vehicle and was fined $150.

RCMP were called to Highway 13 near Manor where a collision between a vehicle and two moose occurred. The vehicle had to be towed, but luckily no one was injured.

A report of a hit and run was received. The vehicle had been parked at Kenosee Inn overnight where it was damaged. At this time RCMP have no leads.

On March 13 a 33-year-old male was charged with failing to display a licence plate on a vehicle and fined $100.

On March 14 members responded to a residence alarm in Arcola. RCMP cleared the property and later spoke with a key holder who confirmed it had been a false alarm.

A 15-year-old male is going to be charged with failing to comply with release conditions and will be facing charges in court.
