Update: Severe thunderstorm warnings lifted in the southeast

Thunderstorm watch has been issued throughout the region.

UPDATE: The latest severe thunderstorm warnings have been lifted for the RMs of Antler, Maryfield, Moose Mountain and Wapole, and the communities within those RMs.

SOUTHEAST SASKATCHEWAN — A severe thunderstorm warning was in effect for parts of southeast Saskatchewan on July 3.

The warning was in effect for five RMs at various times. 

According to the warning, Environment Canada meteorologists were tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts, up to nickel-sized hail and heavy rain.

Meanwhile, a severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for the southeast, including Carlyle, Estevan and Weyburn. Fifty-five RMs, and the communities within those RMs, are affected.
