PUNNICHY – The Punnichy RCMP are investigating a break-and-enter at a home on Muskowekwan First Nation that resulted in the theft of multiple firearms.
Police were called on July 4 after an unknown suspect or suspects forcibly entered the home, causing extensive damage inside. A dark grey gun cabinet containing four firearms was stolen, including 308 bolt-action rifle, a .22 pump rifle, a 12 gauge Weatherby shotgun, and a 16 gauge double-barrel shotgun. A hunting knife and ammunition were also stolen from the residence.
Investigators believe the break-in occurred on July 4 between 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Punnichy RCMP continue to investigate.
