Another of Carlyle鈥檚 big events for the year has been scrubbed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Everyone is invited to share their talents at the 2020 Communithon, to be held on Friday, Oct. 23, at the Legion Hall. All ages and types of acts are encouraged to participate. Performances can be live for solos or groups of up to five people.

Weyburn singer Karissa Hoffart鈥檚 album, 鈥淟ife of Mine鈥�, has started to get traction with three singles already released to country radio, with the general release of the album set for Oct. 17.

A new board game was launched in August to celebrate Estevan. Estevan-Opoly, created by Outset Media, is a game that gives players a chance to own some of the most famous landmarks in the community.

A confessed book lover, Morgan Jones, asked for a book nook library for her birthday, and her fianc茅 built her one. She now has 鈥淒ot鈥檚 Book Nook鈥� in front of their home at 719 Fourth Street 麻豆视频, named after her little wiener dog, Dot.
