Several communities in southeast Saskatchewan enjoyed a visit with elder Dick Byrd of Fort Qu鈥橝ppelle as part of Aboriginal Storyteller Month celebrations.

At the very end of every fiscal year, there is always talk of budgets, and lately those budget talks have included cuts to local cultural agencies.

The Cross Canada Fiddle Revue was held at the Shurniak Art Gallery in Assiniboia on January 31. The event featured great music and energy, engaging stories and a low-key mood.

Aspiring authors and artists were encouraged to follow their dreams and write or draw, even if they鈥檙e only 10 years old, Grades 5 and 6 students at St. Michael School were told by children鈥檚 author Stephan Kozan on Thursday.
