The congregation at the Wawota United Church celebrated two important events on June 12. It was the celebration of Trinity Sunday and the 97th year of the formation of the United Church. The United Church was formed in 1925 when the Methodists, Congregationalists and a large group of Presbyterians joined together to become the United Church of Canada.聽

Parade will start at 7 p.m. at the Estevan Leisure Centre.

The first day of the park season will be July 4.

Berkley Jo Petersen grew up in the Mitchellton district and attended Mossbank School, graduating in 2014. She received her Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in psychology at the University of Regina in 2019.

There will also be information that can be taken home,鈥� added Barbara Compton, Community Safety Education Strategy Coordinator for the Saskatchewan Safety Council.

Legion presents a cheque for $6,000 to army cadets.

Members of the corps, along with the pipes and drums band, paraded in front of the legion to start the ceremony, wrapping up their season on June 7 by hosting a sunset service in front of the Royal Canadian Legion鈥檚 Estevan branch.聽
