Over the August Long Weekend Wawota celebrated their Heritage Days in the valley. Heritage Days actually began in the 1950s and then there were a number of years when it didn't happen.

It's about showing up

An event that has quickly grown into a popular attraction in the southeast region will soon be returning to Carlyle. Carlyle Fun Dayz will take place in the downtown area on Aug. 17. It will start with a pancake breakfast at 8 a.m.

For all of the more than five decades we鈥檝e been married, Ed and I have enjoyed playing board games. Out of respect for trade marks and their legal implications, I won鈥檛 name any but one of our favourites involves lining up numbers in sequence.

A hidden gem in Arcola Saskatchewan goes by the name on Buddy's Pub. Buddy's Pub is one of the three opera houses left in Saskatchewan. It was built in 1906 and features one of the longest bars in western Canada.
